If you have been reading this blog, you know how much I love WordTalk, a FREE text-to-speech plugin for Word on the PC, that highlights every word as it reads it. Well, WordTalk has been improved and has two new features that make it even more valuable for classrooms. It's also easier than ever to use.
Click on the picture below to see the new features in action.
Is there any reason why this program is not loaded on the computers in your classroom? Show all your students this tool for reading and editing their work. It is fantastic!

Wow! WordTalk really is better than ever. Thanks so much for pointing this out, Karen. I'd noticed that the WordTalk website had changed, but wasn't aware of the improvements. WordTalk really is one of the most helpful tools available to any learner who has MS Word on a Windows computer.
I'm going to write my own blog post about the revised WordTalk right away, and do my part to spread the word. I'm appalled by the statistic on the WordTalk website that says there have been only 7873 downloads since November 2006!
Hi Karen:
Thanks so much for a great post and screencast.
Regards
Brian
