I admit it, I'm addicted to blogging but I prefer to say that I am addicted to the free professional development that I get from reading edubloggers with all different points of view. I've learned more in the past two years since I started blogging then in the previous twenty (other than graduate school!) And I've been challenged to question assumptions and pose solutions that will benefit our 21st century learners.
For me, it's all about the kids and I'm thrilled to see that there are many educators who recognize the need for change that promotes learning, engagement, critical analysis and international collaboration.

I'm was pleased to find out I'm only 75% addicted to blogging, but I fibbed on he last question. It asked if you were going to go and blog about your result and I said 'no', then proceeded to go and comment on other peoples blogs about my result instead :). So I may be more addicted than I let on... but isn't hiding the extent of your addiction a sign of that addiction ... hmmm.

Well I have FINALLY met someone who's results are higher than my 80% (even if only by 2%!)
You are so right about the REASON behind it all! It IS about the free PD we receive from all of our readings. For me, living in "little old" New Zealand, it's also about connecting on a world-wide basis with educators who I'd never realistically be able to hear speak at a conference, let alone meet in person!
I admit to being addicted to blogging quite freely, because obviously like you... blogging and reading edublogs etc has changed my life!

Isn't this fun? What I love is that I have "geovisitors" embedded in my blog; when I click on that, it takes me to a new page where I can "Google Earth" visitors to my site in the previous 24 hours. I google earthed the New Zealand visitor which I imagine must be you. It shows me that you are from Auckland. (It also puts you in a prison which confirms for me that it typically isn't accurate about the exact location!)I know I show up in the next town over from where I actually live and blog.
Anyway, it takes exploring where the visitors to your site come from to a new level.
Do you explore where visitors come from with your class blog?
Blogging? Only 82% addicted? Geez, I'm 100%! It's an amazing tool.

It's tough, for sure. I had to lie like crazy to keep MY addiction percentage down under 60%.
