I am really excited about learning about weblogs! My school is working on updating our website and my principal wants to figure out a way that it can be interactive with our students' families (without being difficult to maintain!). I went to her after our class last weekend and told her about weblogs. So we decided in the in the fall, we're going to create classroom blogs for families to check in and see what their kids are actually doing at school. Thanks so much for the introduction to it!

Karen-
After thinking about it more, I decided to start a blog for my classroom: http://room10searles.blogspot.com/ I think it would be really great, IF my parents all had access to computers.

You have done a GREAT job! Pei, I love what you have done! That was exactly my intent - to make the assignment real to your students and families. You adapted it to you own situation. Outstanding!!!
This should lead to some interesting discussions on Saturday.
