Hi Karen-
I signed up on Audible.com. Have downloaded 4 different books already (they were having a sale). Robert liked reading the original "101 Dalmations" in this format. I think it helped sustain his interest longer and he also did not feel like it was a "chore" to read. He was excited to talk about the book. Thanks for the great resource!! BARB

I am really excited about learning about weblogs! My school is working on updating our website and my principal wants to figure out a way that it can be interactive with our students' families (without being difficult to maintain!). I went to her after our class last weekend and told her about weblogs. So we decided in the in the fall, we're going to create classroom blogs for families to check in and see what their kids are actually doing at school. Thanks so much for the introduction to it!

Karen-
After thinking about it more, I decided to start a blog for my classroom: http://room10searles.blogspot.com/ I think it would be really great, IF my parents all had access to computers.

You have done a GREAT job! Pei, I love what you have done! That was exactly my intent - to make the assignment real to your students and families. You adapted it to you own situation. Outstanding!!!
This should lead to some interesting discussions on Saturday.

HI All,
I was able to experiment this week with a couple "Blog" websites. I thought that Blogspot was the quickest to design and easiest to navigate. Here is what I have so far...I definatel ywant to add more! ~Sarah

Hi Karen,

I read your comments on my blog. I know isn't it weird that people have responded? I can't wait to make one for my class, and I started to but...One I don't really know what I am doing yet and I am far to obsessive/anal to not have my class one look that way I want it to. And two, I have a job at a new school and I don't know what I am teaching yet.
Hopefully people can teach me how to be more creative (Pei) tonight!
